Prosecutors said Wednesday that no charges would be filed against Shakti Stream, the Kailua-Kona woman whose Toyota sport-utility vehicle crossed the center line of Queen Kaahumanu Highway and crashed into a car, critically injuring the other driver, Dr. Theresa Wang.

Also injured in the Nov. 19, 2010 collision was Stream’s boyfriend, former University of Hawaii and NFL quarterback Colt Brennan, a passenger in her vehicle.

A written statement from the prosecutor’s office said the case won’t be prosecuted because of insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the charge of first-degree negligent injury.

Wang has filed a civil suit against Stream in the collision and that case is still pending.
